Jocelyn has 30+ years' experience in education as a speech-language pathologist provider in schools and in the medical environment and as a State of Utah and District level administrator. Jocelyn was an adjunct professor for the University of Utah and the University of Phoenix. Jocelyn is a national presenter and considered an expert in her field. Jocelyn has served on many boards including being a founding member of the Autism Council of Utah and serving as the elected national president of the SEACDC. Jocelyn has a doctorate degree and has Administrative/Supervisory and Speech-Language Pathologist credentials. Jocelyn has published several articles in the Utah Special Educator and National School Bus Fleet Magazine. Jocelyn received the University of Phoenix Distinguished Teaching Award in 1999, the Council for Language Speech Hearing Clinicians State Education Agencies appreciation award for 2001-2014, the Southern Utah Autism Conference appreciation award in 2002, the Utah State University College of Education Outstanding Alumni Administrator Award in 2002-2003, the Rollan J Van Hattum Award for significant contribution presented by USHA 2018, and the Autism Council of Utah Educator of the Year Award named for Jocelyn Taylor 2018-2019. Jocelyn loves to laugh, especially at her own jokes.
Britney has 14 years experience in education as a speech-language pathologist. Britney has additional experience as a clinical supervisor for graduate student clinicians from Idaho and Utah, 5 years as an education district coordinator, and 5 years as a professional development provider with the Utah Professional Development Network. Britney has provided state-wide trainings in partnership with the Utah State Board of Education in Social Stories, Critical Communication Skills, Aided Language Stimulation + Core Vocabulary, and Stuttering. Britney has contributed to publications including the Specially Designed Instruction manual published by the Utah State Board of Education. Britney holds a Master's degree from Utah State University and has Administrative/Supervisory and Speech-Language Pathologist certifications. Britney is the recipient of the Utah Council For Children with Behavior Disorders Bill Jenson Special Education Related Service Provider of the Year Award for 2014.
Jonathan has 17 years in education with 14 years as a principal and district superintendent with experience in charter and Native American School districts. Jonathan is nationally recognized for his leadership at Fremont County School District during a rapid turn-around of educational performance. Jonathan created and lead the groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding with Shoshone-Bannock School District and Idaho National Laboratory's main contractor Battelle Energy Alliance in creating an onsite job placement program for Native American students. For 2 years, Jonathan was a founding member and board chairman of a petitioning charter school. In addition, he wrote the majority of a middle school STEAM charter which was approved and has been in operation since 2015. Jonathan has been the CEO of Jonathan Braack Consulting, LLC since 2009 and has trained private sector/school leaders and education teams in practices ranging from school culture, leadership development, systems improvement, and strategic planning. Jonathan has developed a unique approach to implementing PLCs within general education and special education teams that assist teams with preventing over identification of students with disabilities. Jonathan received his education specialist degree in Superintendency from Northwestern Nazarene University and holds 6-12 English, K12 Principal and District Superintendent certifications and endorsements.
